Phalaenopsis By Me 'Red Spinel'

This flower was almost shocking when it first opened. Unfortunately, the vibrant cerise and cardinal tones shift almost immediately the moment the petals spread. The flower changes color daily, as it opens, beginning as a scarlet red, and shifting into ever more fuchsia and lavender tones, reaching an intense fuchsia shade in about three days, and then fading into a somewhat nondescript lavender concolor in four to five days.
