General Description:
This is without a doubt one of the most beautiful Phrag hybrids to emerge recently. A cross by the superb hypridizer, Chuck Acker, using his renowned tetraploid Eric Young 'Rocket Fire. Just as he promised, the seedlings grew like wildfire and some are reaching blooming size within eighteen months out of flask. The photo says enough about the beauty of this bloom. Not only is the coloration breathtaking, but the blooms, which open "semi-simultaneously" are very large, and give a spectacular show for many weeks. Although presumably most would be triploid, the "Padparascha" clone in the photo is at least fertile enough to produce a pod. We will know shortly whether there will be some exciting new offspring from this clone, and its siblings.
